President Bush Speaks at SMU

Starting at 3:03pmET, Fox News’ “Studio B” broadcast President George W. Bush‘s speech from Southern Methodist University live and in its entirety. Fox was the only network to do so.

This was considered by some to be the former president’s first major public speech since leaving office.

At 3:17pmET, MSNBC dipped in for roughly four minutes. After breaking away, David Shuster said, “The president, if he makes any remarks about some of the issues of the day, we will, of course, bring them to you later.”
