President to Deliver Statement on Airline Security Report
President Obama is expected address the nation this afternoon at 3pmET, following the White House’s release of an unclassified, preliminary report of the Christmas day attempted bombing. The president will likely discuss the report’s findings and recommendations.
ABC, CBS, and NBC will have special reports and carry the statement live, with Diane Sawyer, Katie Couric, and Brian Williams anchoring, respectively.
The cable and broadcast networks also carried the president’s remarks earlier this week.
Update: The president’s remarks have been pushed back to 4:30pmET.
Update, 4:35pmET: The president’s address was carried on the broadcast networks and cable news networks. It was also carried on the C-SPAN and the business networks.
