Primetime Ratings: ‘Brooklyn DA,’ ‘The Lookout,’ ‘Dateline’ Dip

With TV’s Summer season upon us, a handful of news programs are finding time on the broadcast network schedules.

CBS’ “Brooklyn DA,” which debuted last week to five million total viewers and a 1 rating/3 share in the 18-49 demo, slipped in week two Tuesday night. The show dipped to 3.83 million total viewers, and a .7 rating/2 share among 18-49 year olds. “Brooklyn DA” placed third at 10 PM behind a rerun of “Body of Proof” and “America’s Got Talent.”

ABC’s “The Lookout” also fell from 4.1 million total viewers last week to 3.83 million viewers this week. In the 18-49 demo it was flat, generating a 1.1 rating/3 share. ABC notes that it was up compared to the same night last year, but those were reruns of “Don’t Trust The B In Apt 23″ and “Modern Family,” not new original programming. “The Lookout” placed second at 10 PM, behind a rerun of “CSI” on CBS.

NBC’s “Dateline,” which is on NBC’s schedule year-long, drew 5.24 million total viewers at 8 PM, and drew a 1.1 rating/4 share in the 18-49 demo. “Dateline” actually won its hour in total viewers, even topping Fox”s “Masterchef.” That said, it was also down from last week in total viewers, and hit a season low in the 18-49 demo.
