Prom “Rebel” and Stepdad Leave Interview Early
CBS’ The Early Show had an exclusive interview this morning with the high school senior suspended for attending his girlfriends prom. (CBS described him as the prom “rebel” and a “Real-Life Footloose.”)
But a tipster noted the student’s father, Stephan Johnson, left the brief interview while it was taking place. “Your Stepdad’s taking off here,” said anchor Harry Smith, before asking a final question and having the stepson make an early exit as well.
A CBS News spokesperson tells TVNewser: “We don’t know why Stephan Johnson got up during the interview this morning. It’s live television, these types of things happen now and then.” Check it out after the jump…
