Public Beta Of New CNN.com Coming Soon

A public beta of the new CNN.com “is expected to go live sometime this week, with the official relaunch scheduled for July 1,” MediaWeek reports.

Senior VP David Payne describes the planned changes as “taking the house down to its foundation.” The site will use Ajax and integrate “multiple aspects of big news stories on a single Web page.”

And: “Perhaps an even bigger shift in philosophy will happen later this year when CNN.com will begin linking to other news sites, even competitors…”
