Questions... About Neal Shapiro, NBC VP's, Lou Dobbs, And FNC At Noon > Why didn't NBC send out a press release about the promotions of David Verdi and Mark Lukasiewicz on Wednesday? You'd think Vice Presidential appointments would be worthy, but instead TVNewser had to rely on a leaked memo, and other TV writers scrambled to report the news. > That leads to another question: Is Friday Neal Shapiro's last day at NBC News? Update: 9:05am: "Friday is NOT Neal Shapiro's last day," a tipster says. "He is going on vacation. It will start the usual run of media rumors but as with Memorial Day, it is only a vacation." > Forget Neal; That other Shapiro, Mark, is leaving ESPN for a job with Redskins owner Daniel Snyder. Earlier this month, Newsweek said he had been pursued for a "news czar" position at NBC News; Does this put Patricia Fili-Krushel at the top of the list for the spot? > What is Lou Dobbs upset about? "He's been throwing anger tantrums in Moneyline's newsroom. He even threw scripts and yelled profanities at his staffers," a tipster says. But that's nothing new, right? Update: 10:21am: "Lou Dobbs throwing scripts and swearing at his staff is not what I or anyone here at CNN would call 'breaking news,'" several e-mailers say. I agree; that's why I chuckled at the anonymous tip and said "that's nothing new, right?" > Am I the only person assuming that Bill Hemmer is preparing to anchor the noon time slot on Fox News, now that David Asman is departing for documentary-ville?
