Ratings: When The New Pope Was Named

FNC came in first when news of the new Pope broke. Here are the numbers, based on each network’s breaking news breakouts:

FNC: 11:49am to 2:38pm: 1.2 HH / 1,102,000 viewers / 404,000 demo

CNN 11:49am to 2:20pm: 1.0 HH / 984,000 viewers / 297,000 demo

MSNBC: 11:50am to 2pm: 0.4 HH / 399,000 viewers / 130,000 demo

> Between noon and 1pm, CNN averaged 1,151,000 total viewers.

> Also: In primetime, FNC averaged 1,717,000 viewers, while CNN had 834,000 and MSNBC had 471,000. In the 25-54 demo, FNC averaged 475,000 viewers, while CNN had 277,000 and MSNBC had 150,000.
