Ratings: World Series Finale Disappoints
The final game of the 2010 World Series last night drew a 10.6/16 metered market rating last night, down double digits from the same game last year disappointing, and placing Fox third for the evening, behind ABC and CBS, which programmed “Dancing with the Stars” and its Monday comedy block respectively.
As is often the case, the teams playing have an impact on the ratings. Last year’s series between the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies simply had broader appear than a Texas-San Francisco matchup.
Still, preliminary ratings put the 2010 Series up slightly compared to the 2008 Series, which was between the Phillies and Tampa Bay Rays.
Final ratings will be out later today.
