Record Low for CBS Evening News

Developing: TVNewser has learned the CBS Evening News set another record low last week. The broadcast averaged 5.33 million Total Viewers and 1.54M in A25-54. The week of April 21, the previous low, the broadcast drew 5.34M Total Viewers and 1.58M in the demo.

There was at least one viewer in Mexico City, however — our editor watched Friday night’s broadcast on the cable channel AMNET (at 10pm local time, sandwiched between Dr. Phil and The Late Show).

We’ll know more about the whether the other network broadcasts gained or lost viewers week-to-week in the lead up to a holiday weekend when the full ratings come out later this morning.
