Remembering Peter: Bob Iger Expresses “An Enormous Debt Of Gratitude”

When he came to the podium, Bob Iger said he represented “two expletives:” Management and Burbank. He said ABC and Disney owes Jennings “an enormous debt of gratitude.”

Iger shared a piece of advice that Jennings whispered in his ear when they first met in the late 1970s in London: “Avoid returning Roone’s calls,” Jennings said, referring to Roone Arledge. “If Roone never returns your calls, and you never return his, chances are you’ll never have to talk.”
