Reports of Chris Cuomo’s Resignation Untrue
RadarOnline is reporting that ABC’s Chris Cuomo resigned from the network today, via email.
ABC News spokesperson Jeffrey Schneider tells TVNewser, “I just got off the phone with Chris who told me, ‘nothing could be further from the truth.’” He’ll be on GMA tomorrow morning.
The rumor is no doubt based on reports last week that if George Stephanopoulos accepts the GMA co-anchor job, Cuomo would not want to be a part of the show. Insiders tell TVNewser, despite testing other talent for his GMA job of newsreader last week, if Cuomo wants to stay on GMA, it’s up to him. But if he wants out of the morning show, he could very well be promoted to the open co-anchor slot on “20/20.”
