Rick Sanchez Hosts Shorty Awards
CNN’s Rick Sanchez hosted the Shorty Awards last night in Manhattan, and PRNewser’s Joe Ciarallo and FishbowlNY’s Alex Alvarez were there covering it. The awards celebrate “the best producers of short, real-time content” on Twitter. MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow (@maddow) won the award for journalism.
Sanchez said, “I think the reason they chose me [to host] is because I’m a guy who does things fast,” pointing out that Jon Stewart recently “said that I remind him of a guy who is high on cocaine at a party.”
Here’s a shot of TV anchor Sanchez with celebrity monster Grover.
