Roberta McCain Weighs in on Rush, Olbermann
Sen. John McCain‘s 97-year-old mother, Roberta McCain, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night. Among other topics, she shared her thoughts on Keith Olbermann and Rush Limbaugh.
“I can’t figure out that type of person, who really gets joy out of denigrating people,” she said of Olbermann. “Thank God I’m not around people like him.”
As for Rush: “I don’t know what the man means, I don’t know what he’s talking about…the chairman of the Republican party [Michael] Steele was exactly right when he defined him as an entertainer.” (We checked out some of Limbaugh’s radio show today to see if he’d respond — we don’t think so, but let us know in the comments if he did.)
> Update: Well, Rush did respond. RealClearPolitics has the audio.
