Sam Champion vs. the Local News Crew

TMZ has local newscast video of “Good Morning America” weather anchor Sam Champion getting into it during a live shot with the crew from KOKH at a tornado-ravaged gas station in Oklahoma City.

The camera crew appears to walk right into the “GMA” set up during their live shot with Champion smack in the middle of the frame, much to Champion’s displeasure.

“There were a number of crews at that location covering the devastation from the tornadoes,” Champion explains to TVNewser in a statement. “We had all worked it out ahead of time as to which crews would be where, so I was surprised, just as I was about to go live, to see another camera crew coming at me. While they weren’t where they agreed to be, I certainly regret snapping at them. Everyone should be focused on helping the folks in Oklahoma and I’m sorry that this small incident has distracted from that in any way.”
