Sandy Genelius Leaving CBS for Sony
Well, we began the day with PR news, and that’s how will close it…at least until the next post.
Broadcasting & Cable reports CBS News VP of communications Sandy Genelius is leaving the network. Genelius, a 20-year CBS veteran, is joining Sony in the same capacity.
“It would be impossible to overstate Sandy’s dedication, commitment and overall contribution to CBS News,” wrote News & Sports president Sean McManus in an internal email.
Genelius is the second CBS News spokeswoman to leave the network in the last two months. Jennifer Farley, who oversaw PR for the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, left the network in August.
