SB Nation Gets Paid

Is this the equivalent of a young upstart phenom signing his first big contract?

All Things D reports that SB Nation raised $10.5 million in Series C funding. Khosla Ventures led the round. The collection of 290 sports and news sites had previously raised $13 million.

Kara Swisher believes SB Nation will be valued in the $60-$90 million range.

Markos Moulitsas, of Daily Kos fame, and others founded the startup in 2003 which has thrived recently under the leadership of Jim Bankoff.
