Schieffer Rethinking Retirement?
What is Bob Schieffer going to do with all his new spare time once a new CBS Evening News anchor is named? ![]()
He tells TV Week’s Michele Greppi: “I’m going to hang around here for a while and be as helpful as I can on that front. Then I’m going to go back to ‘Face the Nation’ and the very nice life I had before all this started. You know, I went out with my wife Pat the other night and discovered she’s a very nice person. We have a lot in common. And we do have fun together. I’m going to enjoy being around a little bit more.”![]()
In the past, Schieffer has said that he would like to retire on his 70th birthday. He turned 69 on Saturday, so should we assume that he’s feeling differently about retirement? ![]()
