Schieffer Signs Off: The Awkward Half-Hug

As a stagehand urged the audience to applaud for Bob Schieffer‘s farewell, CBS Evening News president Sean McManus came on stage and shook the departing anchorman’s hand. And here’s what happened next:

Yes, it was the awkward half-hug. In frame one, McManus goes in for the hug… in frame two, they start the embrace… in frame three, Schieffer retreats… and in frame four McManus slinks away.
