Sean Hannity has been defending Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy during his standoff with the federal government, but came out strongly this afternoon against Bundy’s controversial comments about African Americans.
“His comments are beyond repugnant to me,” Hannity said on his radio show. “They are beyond despicable to me, they are beyond ignorant to me,” he added.
Bundy had told the New York Times he wonders whether African Americans would be better off as slaves. Hannity went on to say that even though Bundy’s comments were despicable, his supporters against “government overreach” shouldn’t be branded because of Bundy’s “obnoxious”comments.
