Sept 11th Anniversary Cable Plans

Tomorrow, the cable networks will commemorate the anniversary of the September 11th. In addition to special programming, all of the networks will have special coverage within their regular broadcasts throughout the day. Here are some of the highlights:

msnbc120.jpg At 8:45amET, MSNBC will air “9/11/01: The Today Show,” which is a three-hour program showing how the events unfolded live on NBC’s “Today Show.” In the evening (12amET), the network will show a two-hour “9/11: As It Happened” special chronicling NBC’s coverage that day with limited editing.
fnc2120.jpg At 10pmET, FNC will show “Fox News Reporting, 9/11: Timeline of Terror,” which will depict how the events happened in “real time” and include interviews with Ari Fleisher, Dick Cheney, and Condoleezza Rice. During the day, Steve Doocy will be live from Ground Zero for “Fox & Friends” (guests include Mayor Bloomberg) and Neil Cavuto will also be live from Ground Zero for his show with Richard Grasso, Andy Card, Gov. Ed Rendell, and Dick Armey. Jon Scott, who was anchoring for FNC on 9/11/01, will anchor “Happening Now” from Ground Zero. Bret Baier will host “Special Report” from Pentagon Memorial Park at 6pmET.
cnn120.jpg “American Morning” will have coverage of memorial events plus an interview with Mayor Bloomberg. Heidi Collins will be anchoring CNN Newsroom from NYC from 9-11amET. Anderson Cooper has been broadcasting a special edition of “AC360″ all week from Afghanistan in commemoration of the attack.
