Several Producers Shown Door At NBC?

“They’re trying to keep it quiet, but ratings woes have led to layoffs at NBC News.. just in time for a very merry Christmas,” a tipster says.

(I’m not sure about the “ratings woes;” NBC News seems to be performing well, but the parent network is not.) Layoffs have been occurring, slowly, for several weeks, two sources tell TVNewser. A number of producers on The Today Show and Dateline have been let go, along with several associate producers and lower-level staffers. It’s all part of a larger budget crunch at NBC.
