Six-Year-Old’s Scoop

ureport_3-25.jpgIt was a case of “You Report, We Scoop” yesterday, as a uReport sent in to Fox News from a viewer in the Virgin Islands was the first image to capture Sen. Barack Obama on his vacation.

Politico’s Michael Calderone writes about the back story of the picture, in which a six-year-old girl poses with the candidate. As the girl and her mother, Pam DiStefano, walked on the beach, they noticed the candidate. DiStefano snapped the picture and sent it in to FNC through their uReport site.

When it aired for the first time on FNC, it was the first image of Obama on vacation to be shown on any network. Later in the day, a CNN producer snapped an image and short video of the candidate.
