“As other sports brands go the route of simply taking their existing magazines and digitizing them for the iPad, we recognized an opportunity to deliver an interactive, comprehensive daily sports news product in Sporting News Today. In addition, the advertising environment on the App for iPad allows us to be creative and interactive against our advertiser’s objectives – as opposed to simply digitizing print creative, we can take a combination of print, online and video creative and integrate it into the Sporting News Today experience.”
The app is free, but a subscription to Sporting News Today costs $2.99 per month. The Sporting News already has iPhone applications for the NFL, MLB, NASCAR, and college football.
