“Start Showing Some Cleavage”

The end of Howard Kurtz‘s Monday column includes an interesting quote from ABC News reporter Judy Muller on the subject of female TV personalities wearing revealing clothing:

“The image consultant said, ‘You’ve got to stop wearing those turtlenecks. I think you’ve got to start showing some cleavage.’ I told her I didn’t think America was ready for that.”

Muller was quoted in the Los Angeles Daily News (but the story, from last week, is more easily accessible on MediaChannel.org). In the article, she was only identified as a “network reporter.” Was someone hesitant about linking her to ABC?…
