The cable news channels — beyond HLN — were prepared to listen in to the defense’s 8th day of their case in the Casey Anthony trial but JudGe Belvin Perry recessed today’s proceedings for a “legal issue” without going into detail. The judge has been holding court on previous Saturdays for this case.
Fox News anchor Gregg Jarrett, who is a lawyer, was brought in to anchor coverage of the trail bumping the regular two-hour Saturday morning business block “Cost of Freedom” to tomorrow afternoon at 2pmET.
CNN anchor T.J. Holmes had defense attorney Holly Hughes in studio ready to watch and comment on this morning’s proceeding. “Both of us, we’re standing by waiting to watch the testimony,” said Holmes, “I looked at you and you looked at me and both our mouths go — what just happened?”
