Sugar Bowl Earns 8.4 Overnight Rating
Ohio State’s 31-26 win over Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl earned a 8.4 overnight rating on ESPN, the second-highest overnight rating for college football in the network’s history.
Last night’s overnight is down just three percent (8.7) than last year’s Sugar Bowl between Florida and Cincinnati on New Year’s night. Compared to last year’s Orange Bowl that was played on the equivalent Tuesday night, overnights were up 17 percent (7.2).
Locally, Columbus led the way (46.2) followed by Dayton (27.6), Birmingham (25.7), Cleveland (25.1), New Orleans (25.0) and Memphis (16.3).
In case you’re wondering why Fayetteville isn’t on the list, there are no metered markets in Arkansas.
