Stalwart CBS “Sunday Morning” just completed its most-watched season since the advent of people meters in 1987.
The Charles Osgood-hosted program finishes the 2012-2013 as the No. 1 Sunday morning news program, experiencing its best household delivery since 1993-1994 and its best A25-54 delivery since 2009-2010. “Sunday Morning,” which debuted on CBS in 1979, grew its audience +8% in both total viewers and A25-54 viewers vs. the year earlier period.
“Sunday Morning” also gave a boost to lead-out program CBS’s “Face the Nation” which came in first among the Sunday public affairs shows for the first time since 1987.
