Sunday Shows And Cable News WIll Scramble After Ryan Pick

TV news reporters knew that Mitt Romney would be selecting his VP pick at some point soon, that’s why they all started filling airtime with various “previews” of “likely” candidates. Now that the cat is out of the bag, the scramble is on to get more fully fleshed-out pieces on Rep. Paul Ryan, and of course to get the big interview with the man himself.

Will Ryan appear on any of the Sunday public affairs shows tomorrow? No word yet, but don’t be surprised if he does.

For now, though, pity NBC’s “Meet the Press” and ABC’s “This Week,” which booked former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, and have been promoting his appearance with “Will he or won’t he be VP?” buzz. No, he won’t be.
