Survey Shows Viewers “Like Waking Up With” Diane Sawyer

A “TV Talk Show Hosts” survey by AOL Television finds that ABC’s Diane Sawyer is the morning anchor respondents most “like waking up with”. She garnered 30% of the vote, followed by NBC’s Matt Lauer (26%) and Meredith Vieira (25%), fellow ABCer Robin Roberts (10%), and CBS’ Harry Smith (9%).

In addition, Sawyer was the top vote-getter in the “Which host would make the best president?” category. She finished ahead of Jon Stewart, Oprah Winfrey, Stephen Colbert, and Martha Stewart.

CNN’s Larry King also makes headlines in the poll, garnering 54% of the vote in response to “Who’s the least sexy host?” He beat out Whoopi Goldberg, Jay Leno, Joy Behar, and Carson Daly for the dubious honor.

In the category of Most Sexy Host, by the way, Matt Lauer ranked third with 18%, behind Kelly Ripa (39%) and Tyra Banks (22%), but ahead of Jon Stewart (16%) and Stephen Colbert (5%).
