Audio: Minor League Announcer Quits On Air

Qumar Zaman is my new hero.

The Lake County Fielders play-by-play announcer quit on air because the front office owed him money.

This is the same Lake County Fielders that had their manager quit via email because he wasn’t getting paid.

Rich Ehrenreich is the majority owner and actor Kevin Costner owns a small portion of the minor league baseball team that’s based in Zion, Ill.

Rule #1 in life is you don’t mess with people’s money.

Jim Rome Invading Lopez Tonight On Tuesday

“The Jungle” is set to invade Lopez Tonight on Tuesday.

Nationally syndicated sports talk show host Jim Rome will sit down with George Lopez on his TBS late night talk show.

“I’ll be appearing tomorrow on Lopez Tonight, 12/11c TBS. Fired up!” Rome tweeted on Monday morning.

With a 15-year run as a nationally syndicated sports talk show host and two stints on ESPN, I’m surprised Rome hasn’t made his way through the talk show circuit prior to this (That’s if we can actually consider Lopez Tonight a legitimate talk show).
