ABC News digital reporter Karen Travers is moving to the network’s affiliate news service NewsOne. In her new role Travers will cover the White House and Congress, and will be a part of the network’s Vote 2012 coverage.
Travers has also produced a number of reports for ABC White House correspondent Jake Tapper, including the secret trip to Afghanistan made by President Obama.
“Karen’s experience in Washington will complement our all-star line-up of seasoned reporters there – distinguishing the coverage of ABC News and that of our stations and affiliates across the country,” wrote NewsOne VP Al Prieto in a memo to staff.
