David Broder 1929-2011

David Broder, the Pulitzer prize winning Washington Post reporter and columnist died today, due to complications from diabetes, the Post reports.

Broder was a fixture on NBC’s “Meet the Press” where he appeared 401 times, according to EP Betsy Fischer. Fischer tweeted this photo of Broder when he celebrated 30 years of appearing on the show — “and that was 18 yrs ago!” she writes.

David Broder was 81.
