The Weather Channel Network Taps New President

The Weather Channel Network, the TV arm of what is now called The Weather Company, has tapped David Clark as President. Clark was most recently executive VP of sales and partnership development for The Madison Square Garden Company, where he had oversight of MSG Network and Fuse TV. He is a former executive at MTV Networks.

Clark joins during one of the more eventful weeks in Weather Channel history, as it covered Hurricane Sandy, and the storm’s aftermath. NBC News executive Sharon Scott had been filling in as acting head of Weather Channel, until a new leader was hired.

“David brings a unique and broad range of experience across all areas of media and television to this role, one that requires a leader who understands the brand promise of The Weather Channel network while understanding how it must super serve our core audience of weather enthusiasts,” said Weather Company CEO David Kenny in a statement.

Fox News ‘regrets’ error of using Tina Fey as Sarah Palin in Graphic

During FNC’s “America’s News Headquarters” yesterday anchor Shannon Bream was reporting a story about Sarah Palin‘s interview with Chris Wallace earlier in the day.

One problem: the image used in the story is not of Sarah Palin, but of Tina Fey, when she played Sarah Palin on “Saturday Night Live.” “A graphic error was made,” says David Clark, executive producer of weekend programming for FOX News. “The producer has since been disciplined and an explanation and apology will be made in the same hour next Sunday,” says Clark, adding, “Fox News regrets the error.”
