sunday shows_304ABC’s “This Week” notched a win in both total viewers and the A25-54 demographic on August 17, besting CBS’ “Face the Nation” by +81,000 total viewers and +246,000 A25-54 viewers. “Meet the Press,” guest hosted by Andrea Mitchell after David Gregory‘s mid-week departure from NBC, was third. “Fox News Sunday” and Univision’s “Al Punto” were fourth and fifth, respectively.

Compared to the same week last year, all five shows were up in both total viewers and the A25-54 demographic. “Fox News Sunday” was up the most in total viewers (+46%) and “This Week” was up the most in the demo (+53%).

Cable rebroadcasts of “Fox News Sunday,” guest hosted this week by Shannon Bream, averaged a combined 2,108,000 total viewers and 487,000 A25-54 viewers.

“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 67% of the country.

CBS’ “Face the Nation” won in both ratings measurements on July 27. ABC’s “This Week” was second in total viewers and NBC’s “Meet the Press” was second in the A25-54 demographic.

Compared to the same week last year, Univison’s “Al Punto” was up the most, growing +58% in total viewers and +20% in the A25-54 demographic. CBS (+5% in total viewers / +15% in the demo) and  NBC ( +3% / +19%) were both up across the board. “Fox News Sunday” was up +16% in total viewers and flat in the demo, and ABC’s “This Week” was down-5% and up +11%, respectively.

Cable rebroadcasts of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,187,000 total viewers and 460,000 A25-54 viewers. Cable replays of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 777,000 total viewers and 371,000 A25-54 viewers.

ABC’s “This Week” won in both total viewers and the A25-54 demographic July 20, besting CBS’ “Face the Nation” by +13,000 and +111,000 viewers, respectively. NBC’s “Meet the Press” was third, with “Fox News Sunday” and Univision’s “Al Punto” trading off for fourth and fifth.

Compared to the same week last year, ABC (+28% in total viewers / +41% in the demo), CBS (+12% / +28%) and Univision (+28% / +17%) were up across the board. NBC was flat in total viewers and down -6% in the demo, while Fox was down -5% and -29%, respectively.

Cable rebroadcasts of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,424,000 total viewers and 538,000 A25-54 viewers.

A split decision for the Sunday public affairs shows July 13: CBS’ “Face the Nation” won in total viewers and ABC’s “This Week” won in the A25-54 demographic. NBC’s “Meet the Press” was third in both ratings measurements.

Compared to the same week last year, “This Week” was the only show to grow in both ratings measurements, up +16% in total viewers and +17% in the demo. Univision’s “Al Punto” (+21% in total viewers / flat in the demo), “Face the Nation” (flat / -20%) and “Fox News Sunday” (+3% / -19%) were mixed, while “Meet the Press” was down -10% and -15%, respectively.

Cable rebroadcasts of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,190,000 total viewers and 506,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 670,000 and 246,000 viewers, respectively.

ABC’s “This Week” won in both total viewers and the A25-54 demographic on June 29. CBS’ “Face the Nation” came in second in total viewers and Univision’s “Al Punto,” fueled by Univision’s coverage of the World Cup, came in second in the demo.

Compared to the same week last year, “Al Punto,” “This Week” and “Meet the Press” were up: Univision grew +47% in total viewers and +42% in the demo, and ABC grew +8% in total viewers and +46% in the demo. NBC was up +3% and +36%, respectively. “Fox News Sunday” was up in total viewers but down in the demo, while “Face the Nation” was down across the board.

Cable rebroadcasts of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 1,955,000 total viewers and 390,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 1,111,000 and 430,000 viewers, respectively.

CBS’ “Face the Nation” won in both ratings measurements June 22, leading NBC’s “Meet the Press” by +574,000 total viewers and +128,000 A25-54 viewers. ABC’s “This Week” was third, Univision’s “Al Punto” was fourth and “Fox News Sunday” was fifth.

Fueled by Univision’s coverage of the World Cup, “Al Punto” was again up significantly, growing +40% in total viewers and +20% in the A25-54 demographic compared to the same week last year. “Fox News Sunday” was also up across the board, +5% and +9%, respectively. CBS was up +6 in total viewers -11% in the demo, while “Meet the Press” was -5% and +1% and ABC was -13% and -4%, respectively.

Cable rebroadcasts of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 1,807,000 total viewers and 457,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 715,000 and 353,000 viewers, respectively.

For the second week in a row, CBS’ “Face the Nation” was first in total viewers and ABC’s “This Week” was first in the A25-54 demographic.

It was a particularly strong week for Univision’s “Al Punto,” which came in third in the A25-54 demographic, beating both “Meet the Press” and “Fox News Sunday.” The show featured coverage of the recent immigration reform debate as well as an interview with Pele that was tied into Univision’s coverage of the World Cup. Compared to the same week last year, “Al Punto” is up +80% in total viewers and +113% in the demo.

ABC was up +5% in total viewers and +8% in the demo year-over-year. “Face the Nation” was flat in total viewers and up +13% in the demo, and “Fox News Sunday” was up +41% in total viewers and down -6% in the demo. “Meet the Press” was down across the board, -9% in total viewers and -26% in the demo.

Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 1,902,000 total viewers and 415,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 750,000 total viewers and 266,000 A25-54 viewers.

Univision’s “Al Punto” was down across the board, -32% in total viewers and -40% in the demo.
