Video: Anderson Silva Lip-Syncs Burger King Ad

UFC middleweight champion Anderson “Spider” Silva is a bad man. It’s yet to be determined if he’s a bad singer, as the Brazilian native lip syncs “Lovin’ You,” the familiar standard by Minne Riperton, in this Burger King commercial.

This Saturday Silva defends his crown against Yushin Okami in UFC 134 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

ESPN Releases Super Tuesday Hoops Schedule

Tuesday nights in January and February will feature great SEC hoops matchups on ESPN. The Worldwide Leader has released its 2012 schedule, and every game includes at least one team ranked in its preseason Top 25, with three games featuring two ranked teams. No. 12 Florida will be featured four times, No. 2 Kentucky three times, and No. 7 Vanderbilt, unranked Georgia and unranked Arkansas twice apiece.

Video: SF Giants Support LGBT Youth

Barry Zito and other members of the San Francisco Giants recorded a video in support of Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender (LGBT) youth, expressing sympathy for those who feel like outcasts for their sexual orientation and exhorting them to hang in there because “it does get better.”

The Giants are the first major pro franchise to record such a video for the It Gets Better Project, which aims to curb suicides among lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth.

NBC Chicago Sports Anchor Found Dead At 38

NBC Chicago sports anchor Daryl Hawks was found dead Thursday morning in Atlanta.

Hotel employees discovered the 38-year-old in his room at approximately 9:30 a.m. after he missed a wake-up call. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Hawks was in Atlanta to cover Game 6 of the Bulls vs. Hawks series.

“We are all stunned right now. Daryl was a great member of our sports team, and was so excited about covering the Bulls during this playoff run,” said Frank Whittaker, NBC Chicago station manager and vice president of news. Read more
