Univision’s Evening, Late Night Newscasts Post Gains During November Sweep

Univision’s evening and late night newscasts had a strong November sweeps period, particularly among younger viewers.

“Noticiero Univision,” the network’s evening newscast anchored by Jorge Ramos and María Elena Salinas, averaged 2.1 million Total Viewers and 1.0 million A25-54 viewers during the November sweep. The broadcast improved its audience for all four weeks in November and posted year-over-year increases across all the key demographics, including a +7% increase among A25-54 viewers.

Univision’s late night newscast, “Noticiero Univision Edicion Nocturna,” averaged 1.5 million Total Viewers and 745,000 A24-54 viewers during the November sweep. The program, anchored by Enrique Acevedo and Ilia Calderón, increased +7% in Total Viewers and +10% in younger viewers compared to last year’s sweep. Compared to ABC’s “Nightline,” CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman” and NBC’s “Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” it was the only program to post a year-over-year increase among younger viewers.
