Sean McManus Welcomes Jan Crawford Greenburg to CBS News

As TVNewser first reported Friday, Jan Crawford Greenburg has left ABC News and will join CBS News January 4, 2010 as Chief Legal Correspondent. “We are happy to have Jan back with CBS News in her new, greatly expanded role,” writes McManus.

Insiders tell us CBS News Washington managing editor Bob Schieffer has been a mentor to Crawford Greenburg.

For CBS News, she’ll continue to cover the high court. But she’ll first have to sit out a non-compete clause in her ABC contract. Terry Moran will be covering the court, as he has done in the past, in addition to his “Nightline” duties for ABC News.
