TVNewser has obtained an ABC internal memo announcing Jay Shaylor‘s promotion to senior producer for overnight operations at “Good Morning America.”

“This is a critical role on the show in preparing us for the day ahead,” James Goldston, executive producer of “GMA,” wrote in the memo, adding that Shaylor, currently a producer for the ABC morning show, will work “to ensure that we have the best possible show ready for the morning, that all of our pieces are coming together in the right way, and that we are first on every big breaking story.”
