Greta Van Susteren: ‘Not Sure’ She Would Have Re-Signed With Fox News for 10pm Show

greta van susterenA Cindy Adams column highlights Greta Van Susteren‘s new evening enjoyments now that she is off-air at 8pm, and whether she’d still be at Fox News if hosting “On the Record” at 10pm.

“Not sure I’d have signed another 10 p.m. deal. We stayed Number One but 7 p.m.’s a whole new audience that’s interested in a political schedule. At 10 at night they’re ready for bed. With this deal I got a big raise. Yet for months I was trashed in stories about how I’m being pushed away.

Greta also talks about the important things in life—like family— noting how bad things got during her husband John P. Coale‘s battle with cancer.

Did Greta Van Susteren’s Husband Have the Best Seat in the House?

As you know by now, Greta Van Susteren invited two Kardashians and a Lohan to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner last night. Not surprisingly, Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan (and Keith Olbermann, Barack Obama, Barbara Walters, cable news, Newt Gingrich, and more) made it into Jimmy Kimmel‘s monologue. At one point Kimmel asks Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, “Would you do us a favor? Would you mind driving Lindsay Lohan home? … Make sure you do not run into a goose. Especially a grey goose.”

That’s Greta’s husband John P. Coale sitting between Lohan and Kardashian. Our spies tell us Lohan did eat, but did not drink.

Greta Van Susteren Invites Lindsay Lohan As Guest to WHCA Dinner

In 2010, it was Kim Kardashian.

Last year it was Sarah Palin.

This year, FNC’s Greta Van Susteren and her husband John P. Coale have outdone themselves. FishbowlDC reports the couple has invited Lindsay Lohan as their guest to this weekend’s White House Correspondents Dinner festivities. If history is any indication, this means LiLo will make the rounds at Tammy Haddad‘s Garden Brunch, the pre-Dinner cocktail parties, the dinner and an after party or five. But if anyone can chaperone an oft-busted starlet around DC, it’s Greta. At least we hope so.

Cindy Adams Reveals Her Source – It’s Greta!

FNC’s Greta Van Susteren and her husband John P. Coale had a trip to the Hamptons cut short when Van Susteren jetted off to India Friday morning to interview Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Cindy Adams writes about it today in her column as a way of pouring cold water on the rumor that Chelsea Clinton is engaged.

So between the Old Mill Inn’s rib-eye and cheesecake (John Coale doesn’t dine lightly), his wife rang to say: “Hillary and I are so exhausted. We’re sitting at the Taj in Mumbai ordering Diet Coke and coffee — not mixing it together — just to keep awake.” I was wildly thrilled with what Greta’s drinking, but what I needed to know was what’s Hillary saying. Two text messages and cellphone calls later came: “Hillary says Chelsea is not marrying Marc, no matter what’s been reported.”

Van Susteren returned to Washington this morning. Her interview with Secy. Clinton airs tonight on “On the Record.”
