Pres. Obama’s Coffee with Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, Arianna Huffington and More

ABC’s Jake Tapper has an item about a meeting Pres. Obama had yesterday with “an all-star list of progressive and liberal media folks.”

Those there included the Washington Post‘s Ezra Klein and Greg Sargent, MSNBC anchors Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, and Chris Hayes, the Nation’s editor and publisher Katrina vanden Heuvel, the New York Times‘ Frank Bruni, and stars of the interwebs Arianna Huffington, Josh Marshall of Talking Points Memo, Faiz Shakir of ThinkProgress and Joy Reid of The Reid Report.

Shuster Highlights “Progressive Blogosphere”

shuster_2-17.jpgDavid Shuster‘s “1600 Pennsylvania Avenue” is looking to the Web. The anchor is now active on Twitter, and yesterday he revealed he would spend a segment on the program each night looking at what’s being talked about on the “net.”

But not just anywhere on the Web. “Every day at this time, we’re going to bring you a key issue in the progressive blogosphere,” said Shuster.

Last night’s guest was Josh Marshall of TalkingPointsMemo.com, who talked about Sen. John McCain‘s stimulus plan credibility.

According to Shuster’s Twitter feed, tonight’s segment features Firedoglake.com founder Jane Hamsher.
