• New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, the older brother of ABC’s Chris Cuomo, has named Allison Gollust communications director. Gollust was most recently the head of communications for NBC Universal, departing when CEO Jeff Zucker left the company.

• Andrea Kremer is joining NFL Network. Kremer will be chief correspondent in a new unit dedicated to examining player health and safety issues. Kremer worked the sidelines for “Sunday Night Football” on NBC, as well as the last three Olympics.

• Katie Couric‘s talk show “Katie” is taking a cue from Oprah, and adding regular contributors. The program announced that supermodel Kathy Ireland is joining the show as a contributor on a variety of issues, such as relationships and parenting.

Quite an eclectic mix of guests on “The View” this morning, summed up best by one of them … “CBS This Morning” co-anchor Gayle King: “You guys, you should see back there. It says Gayle King, Lyle Lovett and Israeli president Shimon Peres. I was with him backstage and I just think, wow, this is such a cool lineup.” Also, Kathy Ireland was in for Sherri Shepherd who is somewhere practicing her Cha Cha.

As for her new job at CBS, King says other than the hours, “I ain’t got no complaints. Do I like getting up early? No. But I love what I’m doing.”

Walters added, “Your partner, Charlie Rose tells me that he gets four hours of sleep a night. He goes to dinner parties …”

“But Charlie’s secret,” King said, “He has a nap.”

King also says Oprah Winfrey told her, “This job is a dream job for you.”
