TNT issued an apology Thursday night following risqué comments from 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan on Inside the NBA about Sarah Palin.

Morgan joined Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley from Madison Square Garden. When Smith asked Morgan to pick between Palin and Tina Fey, the comedian responded by saying that Palin was “good masturbation material.”

“It’s unfortunate Mr. Morgan showed a lack of judgment on our air with his inappropriate comments,” said Turner spokesman Jeff Pomeroy in a statement.

There aren’t many things that leave Barkley speechless. This was one of them.

Franklin confirmed the report to Michael McCarthy of the USA Today but declined to comment on how much he’s seeking in damages or details of the lawsuit.

Earlier this month, Franklin was pulled from a radio broadcast after making derogatory comments towards colleague Jeannie Edwards.

Two days after the story broke, Franklin was fired from ESPN after 25 years.
