When Rambunctious Fans Invade World Cup Live Shots

As the USA-Germany game gets underway in Brazil, here’s a reminder of which lucky correspondents are covering the World Cup for their respective networks: CNN’s Lara Baldesarra, Fox News’ Bryan Llenas, CBS’ Elaine Quijano, ABC’s Paula Faris and NBC’s Natalie Morales, who found herself in the middle of a particularly noisy group of fans during her 9 a.m. live shot on “Today” this morning:

And if you work for the state of New York, here’s some good news: Governor Andrew Cuomo has approved an extra hour of lunch for all New York State employees today. Lara Baldesarra Joins CNN’s Sports Unit

Lara BaldesarraLara Baldesarra is joining CNN as the the anchor of CNN International’s “World Sport.” She will be based out of Altanta and contribute to sports coverage across all CNN’s platforms.

“I’m passionate about sports and journalism, so I could not be more excited about joining an organization that values and excels in both of these things,” Baldesarra said in a statement. “CNN is a world-class operation, and I look forward to hitting the ground running.”
