Reuters TV Orders Program Hosted By ‘The President’s Favorite Banker’

Reuters TV, the wire company’s video wing, is launching a new program hosted by outgoing UBS executive Robert Wolf, who the New York Times recently called President Obama’s “favorite banker.”

The series, “Impact Players,” will debut in September right around the Democratic National Convention, and feature Wolf interviewing policy makers and financial experts, as well as guests from the world of entertainment and sports.

Mark White, the former EP of Bloomberg TV’s morning programs, will produce the series, which will live at the Reuters TV YouTube Channel.

  • TVNewser hears that Mark White, who had been EP of Bloomberg TV’s morning programs, has left the company. White joined Bloomberg in 2009. No replacement has been named.
  • Former CNN anchor Larry King appeared on CBS affiliate WBOC in Maryland, where he said he missed his talk show… at least with regards to big events like the death of Osama Bin Laden.

CNN Senior Producer Heads to Bloomberg

Ted Fine, a senior producer at CNN for “Anderson Cooper 360″ and “Campbell Brown,” is heading to Bloomberg TV. He has been brought on as Executive Producer for afternoons starting December 7th. He will join Mark White and Maia Samuel who manage mornings and evenings, respectively.

In an email to staff, head of U.S. television operations David Rhodes wrote: “I’m sure the whole afternoon group will enjoy working with Ted.”

Bloomberg Hires CNN Producer as New EP

First on TVNewser: Bloomberg TV has hired CNN producer Mark White to be its executive producer, focusing on morning production.

White is currently a senior producer on American Morning. He’s been with the network for 10 years.

He begins at Bloomberg on May 26.

White was hired by David Rhodes, now head of U.S. TV for Bloomberg, who left Fox News late last year.
