MSG Execs and Skate Pros to Ring NASDAQ Bell

In conjunction with the launch of MSG Action Sports tomorrow afternoon, executives of the Madison Square Garden Company will join with some skateboarding professionals to ring the closing bell on Thursday’s NASDAQ in the Times Square complex from 3:45 to 4 p.m.

MSG Action Sports is a division of MSG Sports that will produce a variety of action sports and lifestyle events. It’s first event is a MegaRamp ASA Triples BMX and skateboarding competition that will be held in Times Square from 3 – 5 p.m.

Geno Auriemma Clarifies On His "Miserable Bastards" Comments

Before the University of Connecticut Huskies women’s basketball team won their 89th consecutive victory, head coach Geno Auriemma spent “Five Good Minutes” with Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon on Pardon the Interruption.

Props to Kornheiser for wasting no time and asking Auriemma about his comments regarding the media’s coverage of the Huskies.

What If San Francisco Threw a Parade and Everyone Got to March?


Or maybe that’s just how it seemed.

San Francisco Giants49ers fans lined the streets today for the World Series parade. At least, those Giants supporters who weren’t allowed to participate in the parade. Quite honestly it seemed like everyone from season ticket holders and KNBR 680 employees to the Emerald Nuts mascot and a bunch of UPS drivers got involved. And, of course, Tim Lincecum. It was absurd. Also, awesome. This is one happy city. And new hats. So many people with new Giants hats.

CNN’s New 8PM Host: Max Kellerman

Kellerman081210.jpgSports analyst and CNN contributor Max Kellerman will anchor the 8 p.m. hour on the network… at least for one day.

Kellerman will be filling in for Rick Sanchez on the 8 p.m. edition of “Rick’s List” Friday. It will be the first time Kellerman has served as a guest host on the news channel.

Max Kellerman Joins CNN

HBO boxing analyst Max Kellerman has joined CNN as a contributor, the network says. Kellerman will weigh in on sports and pop culture issues on CNN American Morning and other programs. He has previously served as a contributor to MSNBC.

Kellerman is no stranger to sports fans, having been a regular contributor to ESPN’s SportsCenter and one of the original hosts of Around the Horn, in addition to his boxing duties at HBO.
