BTN Rolling Out BTN2Go In Time For Football Season

BTN (the Big Ten Network) is launching a new multi-platform extension called BTN2Go.

The new feature will include a live feed of all BTN linear network programming, beginning with the start of the 2011 college football season, BTN president Mark Silverman announced Wednesday.

“We’re tremendously excited to launch BTN2Go because, as mobile technology has advanced, this is something fans are asking for,” Silverman said. “Big Ten fans are frequently on the go, and would like to watch BTN while away from home. Friday's NCAA Ratings Up 17 Percent From 2010

Friday’s coverage of the NCAA Tournament regional semi-finals on TBS and CBS delivered an overnight household rating/share of 7.6/14, up 14 percent from a 6.5/12 from last year’s CBS Sports coverage, according to Nielsen. It’s the highest rating for a Friday regional semi-finals in the metered markets since a 7.8/14 in 2005.

While the first telecast window of games only combined to earn a 5.9/11, the second window delivered a 9.2/16, up 30 percent from a 7.1/13 last year.

The overall tournament average-to-date in the metered markets is a 6.6/14, up 18 percent from a 5.6/12 for CBS Sports’ 2010 coverage according to Nielsen.

HBO Replaying Hard Knocks On Saturday

In case you haven’t figured out why everyone outside the state of New York hates the Jets, HBO is replaying all five episodes of Hard Knocks starting at 3 p.m. (EST) Saturday on HBO2.

The MVP of Hard Knocks was head coach Rex Ryan, who was the inspiration for Bruce Boudreau‘s potty mouth on 24/7.

Just imagine if we knew about Ryan’s foot fetish while the HBO cameras were rolling…
