President Obama is scheduled to comment on the disaster in Oklahoma at 10 AM and it is likely that all of the broadcast networks will break into regular programming to cover it.  ”CBS This Morning” went into the 9 AM hour to cover the fallout. We hear that “CTM” will stay live until 12 PM on the east coast covering the damage, and 10 AM pacific.

Update: “Our prayers are with the people of Oklahoma today,” Obama said. “Oklahoma needs to get everything that it needs right away.”

“If there is hope to hold onto, not just in Oklahoma but around the country, it is the knowledge that the good people there in Oklahoma are more prepared than most, and what they can be certain about is that Americans around the country will be right there with them,” he added.

Meanwhile, the news channels are sending their A-teams to Oklahoma to cover the fallout from the tornado.

As we noted yesterday, NBC has Brian Williams,  Lester Holt, Ann Curry, Harry Smith, Kate Snow, Anne Thompson and Dr. Nancy Snyderman in Oklahoma, as well as the Weather Channel team of Jim Cantore, Mike Bettes, and Mike Seidel.

ABC News has Sam Champion, Ginger Zee, David Muir and Alex Perez in Oklahoma. Byron Pitts, Mike Boettcher, and Cecilia Vega are also either in Moore or en route.

CBS has Norah O’Donnell anchoring from Moore, and Anna Werner on the ground, and Scott Pelley will anchor the “CBS Evening News” there this evening.

• The New York Post‘s Page Six is at it again with another speculative piece about CNN. This time the paper speculates that incoming president Jeff Zucker may try to poach Ann Curry from NBC and give her a primetime show.

• Erin Burnett is traveling with Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, and will interview him for her program tonight. Tomorrow “OutFront” originates from Kabul, Afghanistan.

• In a meeting of the TV medical minds, CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta will be a guest on “The Dr. Oz Show” Monday. Gupta will talk to Mehmet Oz about his CNN and medical career, and the upcoming drama “Monday Mornings” which he is producing with David E. Kelley.

• CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta is in Cambodia, reporting on a mysterious illness that has been killing children there. Gupta is reporting for all CNN programs and platforms about the mystery illness, which has killed more than 60 children between the ages of three and seven since April.

• NBC’s “Dateline” is launching a new social media tie-in to its live airings, “Dateline Chatline.” “Chatline” is a web app that connects all chatter about Dateline from Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms into one place. Anchor Lester Holt, correspondents and staffers from “Dateline” will participate and respond to viewer questions through the app. Our sister site AllFacebook has more.

• As we noted, this morning was Savannah Guthrie‘s first official day as co-anchor of “Today,” and her former MSNBC co-anchor Chuck Todd talks to TV Guide about her, including a secret passion: “She is not going to be faking it when she’s blabbering about Real Housewives,” adds Todd. “She is the worst junk TV watcher. She kept me pop-culturally relevant on all of the reality shows.”

“Be cautious with us, we’re trying to do the best we can,” said Bill Hemmer on Fox News, at 10:11am. “We may need to update our lower third, which may not be correct,” added Megyn Kelly, which stated the court had ruled the individual mandate unconstitutional.

At 10:07, CNN’s Kate Bolduan reported the same: “It appears as if the Supreme Court justices have struck down the individual mandate.”

“Wow, that’s a dramatic moment, if in fact the Supreme Court has ruled the individual mandate is in fact unconstitutional,” said Wolf Blitzer.

In fact, they didn’t and it was more complicated than that.

At 10:11am, a breathless NBC justice correspondent Pete Williams got it right in an NBC/MSNBC simulcast, “They have said that it can’t be upheld under the commerce clause, the individual mandate can’t. But [Chief Justice John Roberts] said it can be upheld under the court’s taxing authority. So the bottom line here is the Supreme Court has upheld the health care law. It is a penalty, not a tax.”

That clear enough?

As for the broadcast networks:  Matt Lauer anchored on NBC until 10:26am, Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos on ABC, with Terry Moran at the court also aired their special report until 10:26. On CBS, Scott Pelley was in Washington along with Jan Crawford at the court with their special report running until 10:30. And FNC’s Jon Scott anchored on FOX stations until 10:27

HLN, CNBC, Fox Business, Bloomberg and C-Span, are also giving the decision extensive coverage.

CNN could have used Gupta’s skepticism last week, when the network effectively promoted a similarly controversial stem cell therapy on “Piers Morgan Tonight” and “Starting Point.”

The guest on both shows was actress Suzanne Somers, who claims that a miraculous stem cell therapy–with no side effects (always a red flag in medicine)–effectively regrew her breasts after she underwent a lumpectomy. On “Starting Point,” Somers also advocates that cancer patients forgo chemotherapy for testosterone therapy, which has been proven to be ineffective in battling cancer:
