In what’s become a quite regular skit, “Saturday Night Live” had a send-up of “Fox & Friends” again last night, complete with Donald Trump. “I will give $1 million dollars to my charity, Trump’s Buddies which pays inner city kids to throw garbage at Rosie O’Donnell.” Watch:

Mitt Romney: Going On ‘The View’ Is ‘High Risk’

The full length hidden camera videos from the Mitt Romney fundraiser were released by Mother Jones this afternoon. In addition to the comments that have been leading the news cycle today, Romney also talked about the media.

Some of the most popular places for politicians to go and “humanize” themselves are “Saturday Night Live” and ABC talk show “The View.” Romney said he nixed an appearance on “SNL”:

“I did not do that in part because you want to show that you are fun and a good person, but you also want to be presidential,” he told the assembled donors. “Saturday Night Live has the potential of looking slapstick, and not presidential. But ‘The View’ is fine. Although ‘The View’ is high risk because of the five women on it, only one is conservative, and four are sharp-tongued and not conservative,” he added.

In last night’s “Saturday Night Live” cold open, “Rachel Maddow” said “in a cross promotion with the new Harry Potter, my haircut will stay like this forever.” Her guests made fun of the female anchor too: The recently convicted “Charlie Rangel” said “I’m proud to live in a country where a man like Charlie Rangel can be a congressman, and a 12-year-old boy like yourself can have his own TV show.”

At the beginning of last night’s “Saturday Night Live,” Chinese president Hu Jintao, (Bill Hader) accused President Barack Obama (Fred Armisen) of spending $200 million a day on his trip through Asia. “Jintao” told “Obama” that he heard it from Glenn Beck, prompting “Obama” to say: ”Again, let me be clear. Glenn Beck has no idea what he’s talking about.”

ESPNBoston.com will simulcast the Head of the Charles this weekend.

“We are thrilled that one of the leading sports websites in the region, ESPNBoston.com, is pioneering coverage of rowing with its simulcast of this year’s Head Of The Charles,” Fred Schoch, executive director of the Head Of The Charles Regatta, said in a release. “In many other parts of the world, rowing is a highly-watched television sport and we’re hoping exposure like this can continue to build rowing’s popularity in the United States.”

There’s something really sad about that last line, no?
