College Football Coming To FX This Fall

College football fans should take note of what channel FX is on their cable system.

Starting this fall, FX will carry college football.

Fox Sports on FX will carry a minimum of 13 games from the Pac-12, Big 12 and Conference USA. The games will be produced by Fox Sports and air on Saturdays, during the day and in primetime.

”Sports programming is a key component that has been missing on FX for a while and we look forward to its return on our schedule,” FX President John Landgraf told Variety. ”This NCAA football package will feature some of the nation’s marquee schools and matchups, and it will be a great addition to our lineup. It will also provide an excellent promotional platform for our returning hit original series and primetime movies this fall.” continued…

TNT Gives the New York Knicks More Game

Someone at TNT headquarters is paying attention to the excellent ratings the Carmelo Anthony-led New York Knicks are posting.

The cable channel plans to add the March 10 matchup between the Knicks and the Dallas Mavericks to its national lineup. Ironically, the game replaces the Phoenix Suns-Denver Nuggets tilt. The Nuggets, of course, were Melo’s former team.

According to Sports Media Watch, “As a result, TNT will move that night’s Lakers/Heat game from 8 P.M. to 7 P.M.”

Fox Sports To Broadcast Inaugural Pac-12 Football Title Game

Looking to rebound after losing the Bowl Championship Series, Fox Sports and the Pac-10 Conference have reached a one-year agreement for Fox to broadcast the inaugural Pac-12 Football Championship Game.

The game is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the home stadium of the team with the best conference record, with kickoff planned at 3:30 p.m. ET. continued…
