The CBS Evening News With Interns

Nearly 100 interns helped CBS News “come up with strategies to attract younger viewers to the network’s third-ranking evening newscast” this summer, the New York Obsever reports.

“We have a feeling that our ideas will be integrated into the evening news in the future,” one the interns says. But senior VP Linda Mason said the project was “for them:” “This was for them to learn. It was not for us. Frankly, we weren’t looking for ideas for the evening news. We have a whole group of people working on that right now.”
